The United Wards’ Club was founded in the reign of Queen Victoria to promote civic values and foster fellowship amongst the City of London’s citizens and Ward Clubs. Our President, elected annually, organises a lively social programme, bringing diversity of interest with a distinctly personal touch. The Lord Mayor of the City of London is the Club’s Patron (and some past Lord Mayors have been Presidents). Individual Ward Clubs are affiliated. The Club holds its Founders’ Day banquet in October each year at one of the City’s Livery Halls and a black tie dinner in the spring to mark the installation of each new President.
Club events offer exceptional value and members pay only a small annual subscription. The rewards of unique experiences and happy memories are many and beyond price.
Most of the City’s Ward Clubs are themselves associate members of the United Wards’ Club and their details are here.
This section will tell you something about our history and our governance - and how to join!
